Roadtrip Nation to Visit Woodbury University on March 4 (Burbank, CA February 4, 2003) Want to know how the founder of Dell computers or the head stylist for Madonna or the chairman of Starbucks or the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic got to where they are? Nathan Gebhard and Michael Marriner, the original "RoadTrip Scholars," will bring their road show to Woodbury University on Tuesday, March 4. They will park the motor home they used to tour the country the past two years on the quad by Wilshire Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Woodbury students will stop by the motor home to hear how these former Southern California college students interviewed more than 80 people from all walks of life to learn how they got to where they are. Gebhard and Marriner met with everyone from the CEO of Adidas to Tommy Lasorda of the Dodgers to Fast Company Magazine founding editor Alan Webber; and many, many others. The motor home includes chairs, couches and computers to enable Woodbury students to explore life stories and talk to Gebhard and Marriner in a comfortable setting. From 6 to 7:30 p.m., the pair will present a documentary detailing their experiences and interviews with some of America’s corporate, design and entertainment industry leaders. By sharing their remarkable story, Gebhard and Marriner will help students get started on their projects of discovering their own "Open Road." Many students throughout the country are now contributing their interviews to "RoadTripNation," including many of the students at Woodbury. The stories may be found at www.roadtripnation.com ###
