Woodbury University Enrollment Hits New Record

(Burbank, CA October 3, 2001) Enrollment at Woodbury University has set another record, according to figures released today.

Total student enrollment for Fall 2001 is 1,406, up five percent from last year. Woodbury's enrollment has grown by 25 percent during the past three years and is at its highest level since the school moved to the Burbank campus 14 years ago.

Woodbury University President Kenneth R. Nielsen, Ed.D., said the numbers reflect the quality of academic programs and attention to student services.

"Woodbury is experiencing healthy growth because we offer a professional education that prepares our students for success. Small classes, instructors who are experts in their fields and individual relationships make a difference. This combination of quality and caring is attractive to students," says Dr. Nielsen.

In addition to traditional students, Woodbury reported growth in its graduate, weekend, evening and accelerated degree programs for working adults. Nearly 500 students are currently enrolled in these programs in Burbank, Pasadena and Santa Clarita. Woodbury also maintains a San Diego campus, which opened in Fall 1998 to become one of only two universities in that city offering bachelor of architecture degrees.
