Woodbury University to Host Burbank Architecture and Design Lecture Series

(Burbank, CA ­ January 15, 2003) Brazilian architect Angelo Bucci will kick off the 2003 Woodbury University lecture series exploring issues related to architecture and design.

The lectures, sponsored by the Woodbury University School of Architecture and Design and Toyota Motor Sales USA, are open to the public and are free.

Bucci, who teaches at Belas Artes in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will speak at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28 at Woodbury University, Design Center Gallery, 7500 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank.

Four additional lectures will take place in February and March. All lectures begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Design Center Gallery on the Woodbury campus.

  • Tuesday, February 4 — Lorraine Wild, design theorist and principal of Lorraine Wild Design in Los Angeles
  • Friday, February 21 — Lebbeus Woods, architect, educator, theorist and director of the Research Institute for Experimental Architecture (RIEA) in New York
  • Tuesday, March 11 — Julia Czerniak, professor and architect and landscape architect, Syracuse University School of Architecture
  • Tuesday, April 1 — Michael Rotondi, principal of RoTo Architects in Los Angeles
