Information for New Students

International students who are interested in applying for admission to Woodbury University should contact the Office of Admission (for undergraduate admission) or the MBA Office for information regarding admission requirements.

Once you have been accepted by Woodbury University into an academic program, you will receive an I-20 Form issued either by the Office of Admission (for undergraduates) or the MBA Office (for MBA students). The I-20 Form is an official document which will help you in obtaining an F-1 visa to enter the US and enroll at Woodbury.

If you currently reside in a country outside the US, you can obtain your F-1 visa at the US Consulate or Embassy in your home country. You will need to bring with you the I-20 Form issued by Woodbury, passport and financial documentation showing that you have sufficient monetary resources to fund your academic program. There may also be additional forms to complete. Contact the US Consulate or Embassy for further details in this regard.

If you currently reside in the US and hold an F-1 visa, you will need to have the international student advisor at the school you previously attended complete an International Student Transfer Form. This form is necessary so that the proper transfer paperwork may be executed in a timely manner. If you do not receive the International Student Transfer Form at the time you receive your I-20 Form, please contact the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Multicultural Affairs immediately so that it can be sent to you.

All international students new to Woodbury are required to attend a special International Student Orientation session. Please bring with you your passport, I-94 Card (white card attached to your passport), Woodbury I-20 Form, completed International Student Transfer Form (if applicable), and all previous I-20 Forms (if applicable). Your documents will be verified and the Permit to Register Form will be endorsed at this time so that you may register for classes. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet and make connections with other international students.
