The social, political and environmental issues of the San Diego-Tijuana area give students the opportunity to study architecture in a context different from the Burbank campus. Land use planning, resource allocation and urban planning all affect the architectural context at a trans-national level. The architecture program on the San Diego campus takes full advantage of the opportunities and vitality that are a product of this rapidly growing, complex and diverse region. The San Diego architecture program located in downtown San Diego began as a collaborative effort between Woodbury University and San Diego Mesa Community College. Students seeking a five-year professional degree may attend San Diego Mesa College for lower division architecture as well as general education requirements. Upon successful completion of all requirements detailed in the Woodbury-Mesa articulation agreement, a student may automatically transfer into the third year of Woodbury University's five-year professional program. Similar arrangements can be made for students from other regional or national community college programs including Southwestern Community College, Orange Coast Community College and Palomar Community College. The program at the San Diego campus delivers upper division courses in architecture and general education only for the last three years of our five-year curriculum. Graduates from both campuses receive the same accredited professional Bachelor of Architecture degree. Administration / Full-time Faculty
